Historian Hafdís Erla Hafsteinsdóttir shares the little-researched history of trousers in Iceland and explains how wearing trousers in the wrong place at the wrong time could have complicated consequences.

Hafdís Erla Hafsteinsdóttir (b. 1985) has a MA degree in women's and gender history from the University of Vienna. She is currently working on her doctoral degree at the University of Iceland.
