Open+

At Reykjavík City Library in Kringlan and Sólheimar, users aged 18 and over who have a valid library card and an active PIN can utilize the library services outside regular service hours, without staff present.
This service is called Open+.


When is Open+ accessible?

Open+ in Kringlan 

Mondays - Thursdays: 8 am - 10 am & 6:30 pm - 10 pm 
Fridays: 8 am - 11 am & 6:30 pm - 10 pm
Saturdays: 8 am - 11 am & 5 pm - 10 pm

Mondays - Thursdays:
8 am - 10 am  & 6 pm - 10 pm 
Fridays: 8 am - 11 am & 6 pm - 10 pm
Saturdays: 10 am -11 am & 3 pm - 6 pm
Sundays: 10 am - 6 pm

How do I enter?

Users aged 18 or over with a valid library card and an active PIN have access to Open+.
To enter, sign in using your ID number or library card together with your PIN.
Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult.

It is important that people without a library card do not enter the library together with users.
Sharing access with others is not permitted.
 

What can I do during Open+?

Borrow and return material ・ Pick up reserved material ・ Read the papers or magazines ・ Study ・ Play boardgames ・ Use a computer ・ Use the wireless Internet ・ Print ・ Photocopy ・ Scan ・ Have meetings with people who also have access ・ Relax
