Reykjavík City Library’s Christmas Song 2022 | Results

A festive ceremony in Úlfarsárdalur where the jury will announce the author of the Reykjavík City Library's 2022 Christmas song. Afterwards, the song will be played for the first time for our guests.

The jury consists of three people well known to the library. First, we should mention Valgeir Gestsson, specialist in the music department of the Reykjavík City Library Grófin, also well known singer and guitarplayer. Then there is Örvar Smárason, a librarian at the Reykjavík City Library in Úlfarsárdalur, writer, musician and the reigning master of Popppunktur. Last but not least, Iceland’s Christmas star Helga Möller herself, who has also been a bookworm all her life.

We encourage everyone to attend, listen and feel the true spirit of Christmas.

Gingerbread and hot cocoa will be served.
