Creative Writing Workshop | Do you want to write and increase your vocabulary?
Would you like to learn Icelandic through creative writing? The theme of this course is parties, travel, friendship, fashion and unexpected events. Participants will read short stories and discuss their topics. Then students will be instructed in writing simple text in Icelandic. Those who want can share their texts at the end of each workshop and when all four sessions are finished there will be a reading event.
The workshops are aimed at kids aged 12-16 years old who want to improve their vocabulary, play with language and train in creative writing. Fun and exciting vocabulary will be introduced, we will work with current topics as well as phrases and new words.
Workshops:
Reykjavik City Library Grófin - Mondays the 3rd and 10th of February from 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Reykjavik City Library Kringlan - Tuesdays the 11th and 18th of February from 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm
The maximum number of participants per workshop is 12.
Participation is free, but registration is required. You can attend one or more workshop; each of them being considered as an independent entity. In the menu, you can see an overview of the four workshops available.
The workshop is led by Berglind Erna Tryggvadóttir and Þórunn Rakel Gylfadóttir. They are writers and teachers of Icelandic, as well as authors of teaching material in Icelandic.
