Fiktvarpið | DIY Candlemaking in English

In Engish / For ages 12 and older (with adult supervision)

It's another screen-free Tuesday at Fiktvarpið, let's do more with our hands! In this episode Anna Worthington De Matos from Reykjavik Tool Library will show us everything we need to know to make candles at home. We only have to be indoors one more week, so let's make it cozy!

Participants will need:
- an empty glass or jar
- leftover wax from fancy cheese covers and dead candles
- metal from used tea candles
- cotton string
- (optional) used crayons for added color

Fiktvarp is a new platform for curious makers, both young and old, who want to learn exciting new and creative technologies online. Participants in Fiktvarp can work on problems together, ask questions, and follow along at their own pace. Fiktvarp is presented by the Reykjavik City Library Makerspace and is open to everyone.
