Þorgerður Hlöðversdóttir exhibits textile art
Þorgerður Hlöðversdóttir is a textile artist who seeks inspiration from nature and uses Icelandic and foreign plants in an ecological way to dye and print on natural materials such as silk, wool and linen. Each work is unique and can take a long time and many attempts to achieve the desired colors and textures.
Þorgerður graduated from the Textile Department of the Icelandic School of Fine Arts and Crafts in 1990. She studied at the University of British Columbia in Canada from 1998-1999 and completed a master's degree in art education from the Iceland Academy of the Arts in 2013.
Þorgerður has participated in numerous exhibitions both in Iceland and Canada.
