Exhibition | Playing with Colors
Helga Bogadóttir presents a collection of paintings she has created in recent years, inspired by the Icelandic landscape and its animals.
Helga was raised in Skeiða- og Gnúpverjahreppur, where she developed a deep connection with nature through everyday farm life. This bond with the countryside is a central theme in her artwork. She has been drawing and painting for many years and has taken various courses in visual arts to further develop her skills.
Between 2010 and 2016, Helga participated in four group exhibitions organized by the art collective Litka Myndlistarfélag.
In addition to her artistic pursuits, Helga holds a BA degree in teaching (1986) and a master’s degree in special education (2017), both from the University of Iceland. She has spent many years working as a primary school teacher.
Outside of painting, her passions include crafts and horseback riding, which she enjoys with great enthusiasm.
Playing with Colors is open to the public during the library's regular opening hours.
