Vinyl Café III
Hidden treasures and mysterious songs
The gramophone record is one of the oldest and most remarkable forms of the record. This time, the City Library's Vinyl Café will be held in Grófin, the center of the library's vinyl record collection. The theme of the day will be: Rare secrets from the past.
Ingi Garðar Erlendsson (Herra Hljóðgeymir) returns with a full box of 78 rpm gramophone records from his extensive collection and tells us stories of lost music. Many of the most remarkable songs in Icelandic music history have never been published, so this is possibly the only venue for most listeners to listen to those hidden treasures.
The City Library's Vinyl Café: Freshly brewed coffee, old-fashioned records.
