Freeshop | Creative Clothing Repair with Ýrúrarí

Textile designer and artist Ýr Jóhannsdóttir, Ýrúrari, hosts an open workshop in creative clothing repairs focusing on knitted materials.

The workshop gives insight on the methods and approaches which Ýrúrarí uses in her works. With focus on embroidery, knitting and needle felting. Participants bring their own sweater or knitted clothing that need to be patched up, mended or changed in a personal and simple way. Material for repairs is on site, but participants are encouraged to bring their own yarn if they have formulated ideas since supply of material is limited.

Participants do not need to have any experience in clothing repair or craft to participate.

Children interested in attending are required to be accompanied by an adult.
