Exhibition | One Step at a Time

The exhibition features embroidery artworks by Rannveig Guðmundsdóttir.

Rannveig’s embroidery pieces have received well-deserved attention. Over her embroidery career, she has created around 100 pieces of various sizes and styles. Most of them are counted cross-stitch works. However, it wasn’t Rannveig’s own initiative to hold this exhibition, it came about due to encouragement from friends and family. The exhibition showcases a selection of the pieces she has stitched over the years.

Rannveig has lived in Grafarvogur for 25 years and is actively involved with Korpúlfar, a senior citizens’ association in Grafarvogur. According to Rannveig, embroidery has been her main hobby and a form of meditation amidst the busyness of daily life. The occasion for the exhibition is Rannveig’s 80th birthday, which takes place at the end of the month.
