Planting Calendars
When to plant, where to plant and what to plant?
If, like many others, you want to start planting but need some helpful tips to get started, this article is for you. Some vegetables can be planted earlier or later in the year, but most vegetables are sown between March and May. You may start the sowing process on a windowsill or unheated greenhouse, for example, and then move your vegetables outside when they are a few weeks old. Below you will find helpful links and resources both in English and Icelandic to get you started on your planting journey. It is worth noting that the cold weather in Iceland might delay the start of the outdoor sowing by a month or two compared to central european planting calendars.
