Exhibition | The Culture of Anxiety - An Uncertain Future
What are the consequences of a constant emphases on progress? Focusing on progress not necessarily increase the happiness. Individualism, consumption, flexibility, productivity, and speed - the guiding values of capitalism contribute to growing distress. Economic cycles, social inequality that are inseparable elements of neoliberalism, result in emotional imbalance, uncertainty, and anxiety about the future.
We shed light on various aspects of contemporary society in the exhibition "The Culture of Anxiety - An Uncertain Future." The exhibition is interactive, and we encourage everyone to come, experience, and leave their mark on the exhibition created by the students in the course "Arts as a Method in Anthropology" at the University of Iceland.
