Queer print club | Ages15-18

Are you a creative, queer 15-18 year old?

In the Queer print club, a group of young people who identify with or as queer collaborate on an independent publication, from A-Z. The group tries their hand at everything the printing medium has to offer f.ex. creative writing, poster making, collage, graphics and illustration in dialogue with club instructors and designer.

Participation is free but registration is necessary, and space is limited.

Instructors are Agnes Ársæls (she/they) and Bára Bjarnadóttir (she/her), specialist at Reykjavík City Library. Both are artists experienced in youth work, and have held many art workshops for participants of all ages. Agnes and Bára are part of artist group Ræktin, who published the zine Auricle at Sequences X art festival.

Adam Flint (he/him) is the designer of the project. His work combines participatory art and design. Adam has experience in exhibition design for various cultural institutions as well as having taught in Iceland University of the Arts since fall 2022.

We'll meet every Monday from 11th of March from 4:30-6:00 pm.

The Queer print club has received a grant from the Children‘s culture fund of Iceland.
