A pop - up Queer library

Garg publishing, in collaboration with Queer Situations, is going to open Loud Cows: A Queer Library in Salurinn in Kópavogur during the literary festival.

Queer Situations is a literary festival that focuses on queer literature in more than one sense: books by authors who identify as queer, but also literature that falls outside the mainstream.

Garg Publishing wants to borrow books, texts, love letters, essays, or any kind of publication that you feel belongs in a queer library. You can bring the material to the front desk at the City Library Grófin (down town), Gerðuberg (Breiðholt neighbourhood), Spöngin (Grafarvogur neighbourhood) or Sóleimar (Laugardalur neighbourhood) on August 8th - 10th and get it back at Salurinn after the festival. 

Remember to put your name and phone number and/or e-mail on the material and if you feel like it you can include a small note with information about why you think it belongs in a queer library and what it means to you, along with the title and author. The material will be presented together with your recommendations.
