Exhibition | Women's prime
The artworks in this exhibition are made of lace, frills, cloth and other textiles that Tóta (Þórunn Elísabet Sveinsdóttir) has collected throughout the years. Women's crafts and reusing and recycling shape the theme of her unique hearts that tell all kinds of stories and evoke many feelings: love, happiness, energy, broken hearts etc.
Þórunn Elísabet Sveinsdóttir studied at The Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts. She has held solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions and has worked in several projects in theatre and films, as a costume and stage designer. She has also designed and curated various museum exhibitions all over Iceland.
