About the project
This winter users of the library were invited to bring their memories to the library. The participants in the project the Memory bank experimented with texts, images and simple book creations (zines). The participants then made a deposit into the newly founded bank of memories.
The creative sessions took place early 2023 and ended with an opening of the Memory bank on the 13th of May where readings and discussions on how our stories evolve and which stories live longer at the library.
The library is a place to experiment.
We seek to co-create a social space with users! By including different people in the process we hope to make the library a relevant space to more of us. A place where everyone can access and share knowledge, learn something new, gather or just hang around and seek refuge from the hustle and bustle of daily life. With users guiding us in the curation of knowledge sharing and cultural programming, we aim to open the library to diverse narratives in order to better represent the society we live in and make the library an accessible public space for all.
