Yule Book Café
Three Icelandic authors read from their works at a cosy prelude to the Yule book flood. Auður Ava Ólafsdóttir with DJ Bambi, Bergþóra Snæbjörnsdóttir with Duft: Söfnuður fallega fólksins and Einar Kárason with Heimsmeistari.
All three are celebrated authors, Auður Ava won the Nordic Council Literature Prize in 2018 for Ör (Hotel Silence in English). Bergþóra was awarded the Icelandic women's literature prize Fjöruverðlaunin for her first novel Svínshöfuð and Einar Kárason has a long career as a storyteller, being awarded the Icelandic Literary Prize in 2008 for Ofsi, his second novel in a series on the age of Sturlungar period in Icelandic history.
Everyone is welcome but the event will take place in Icelandic.
