Matyas McDaniel exhibits photos at the library.
Matyas is 17 years old and was born in Budapest, Hungary and in the last 9 years of his life lived in Reykjavik and attended Landakotsskoli.
His obsession with photography started with disassembling cameras and looking inside the hardware. He used century old film cameras and digital ones as well.
„I hope you enoy the pictures and the visuals bring nice memories from your life. I have been exploring photography for the past four years of my life. What first drew me in was the inner workings of my camera itself—the way it captures light and transforms it into an image. That sense of wonder is still at the heart of why I create.“
The main themes in Matyas work is that he tries to capture are portraits, architecture, and places that have been reclaimed by nature. He is fascinated by the shapes, lines, and geometry hidden within both built and natural environments.
