Exhibition | Dreams & Reality: TINNA

Saturday June 6th 2026 - Friday August 7th 2026

TINNA is a program for young single parents and a collaborative project between the City of Reykjavík and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Housing. At TINNA, participants engage in various activities and have, among other things, worked creatively under the guidance of visual art teacher Fríða María Harðardóttir since 2020. The first TINNA group exhibition was held in 2021 at the Gerðuberg Family Center, and a total of six exhibitions have been held since the project began.

The group exhibition Dreams and reality is the result of the TINNA group’s work, where young women focus on connecting with themselves and other women through visual art. They received instruction and technical training, explored materials and methods and completed exercises based on perception and dialogue.

Activating their curiosity and imagination and finding a channel for personal expression, they also get to experience art-making as a healing process.

Exhibition is a part of Reykjavík Arts Festival.
