Children's Culture Festival | Thousand of cranes - Origami Workshop

Students in arts and crafts at the University of Iceland are offering an origami workshop for the whole family at Borgarbókasafn at Tryggvagata 15. Entry is free and all materials are provided. On location we are making a paper crane, a Japense art of origami paper folding. The crane is believed to be a symbol of peace. While working on the paper folding you have the opportunity to listen to the story of Sadako Sasaki, who survived the atomic bomb in Hiroshima.
