Taken apart and put together | Upcycling Workshop

Sunday March 10th 2024

This Sunday, the plan is to explore the possibility of using some of clothes lying unused in closets and drawers and making something new out of it, without a specific recipe for those changes.

Creativity and experimentation will be the guiding light of this upcycling workshop led by Alda Sigurðardóttir.

In the workshop, you can change, improve, or prepare something completely new from old clothes or textiles that are no longer in use. Several methods that can be used for that purpose will be reviewed. Participants bring old jeans, a t-shirt, a leather jacket/bag or whatever else that can be cut down or used in the workshop. It is also good to bring scissors and threat cutters, but some tools and materials will be on site.

Alda Sigurðardóttir is an artist, experienced in costume making, embroidery and various types of design, and has often used the recycling of materials as a starting point.

All welcome and registration is not required.
