Let‘s reinvent the future library together! 

Come and join us at our exhibition during Design March, drop in whenever you want, enjoy the experience or take part in participation events during the opening day's. 

At DesignMarch, from May 3rd – 7th 2023 Borgarbókasafnið will host an interesting exhibition and events about the transformation of Grófarhús, the Future Central Library.  

Co-creating and working with our users and stakeholders is an important part of the design process for the new library. At this exhibition you can experience and see the results from the recent workshops that took place this spring. We will guide you through how the project is developing, invite you to influence the design and take part in various events during DesignMarch.

The exhibition will take place in an empty space located west of Grófarhús, this space will be a part of the Future Library.  

The design team: JVST architects, Inside Outside designers, Kreativa interior design and library specialist from Hanrath Architects.  

Location: Tryggvagata 15, west side of Grófarhús 

The exhibition is open on DesignMarch from the 3rd - 7th of May.
