The Icelandic Crime Wave | Literary Walk - Brothers, sisters & crimes
Katrín Jakobsdóttir, former prime minister of Iceland as well as the minister of education was originally known for being an expert in the history and development of crime stories, such as the stories by Arnaldur Indriðason, one if Iceland's most famous crime stories writer.
Katrín's brother, Ármann Jakobsson, has published six crime stories, one which takes place near the University of Iceland.
How important is the urban landscape to the crime story and how are stories shaped by the choice of location?
We will start the literary walk in front of the Reykjavík City Library Grófin (downtown), Tryggvagata 15.
Participation is free of charge and all are welcome.
The literary walk is a part of the program The Icelandic Crime Wave (Glæpafár á Íslandi) on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Icelandic Crime Syndicate.
The project The Icelandic Crime Wave is funded by Rannís Library Fund.
