Storytime | All dressed up
Location: 2nd floor
In this story time we celebrate characters that are true to themselves, creative and full of ideas when it comes to dressing up. A gown made from plants, a one of a kind star-suit… What next? We encourage guests to attend in whatever formal wear they feel at home in.
Two dazzling books were picked for this theme. An Icelandic translation of the Spectacular Suit by Kat Patrick will be read, where the heroine can't seem to find the right outfit for her birthday until she dreams up a new suit. We will also read Julián is a Mermaid by Jessica Love, where we follow wedding guests and buddies Julián and Marisol through the day's adventures. Creativity runs wild as Marisol all of a sudden requires clean clothes in the middle of the reception.
Imagery from Julián and Marisol's adventures then jumps from the pages and on to a custom made photo background, where children and their families can take photos of themselves using their own phone or camera. A perfect opportunity for a family portrait or something for the christmas card.
The story time will be in Icelandic.
