Talented poets and performers perform on stage in front of a panel of judges and audience.

Andri Ívars comedian | Stand-Up
During the break, the stand-up comedian Andri Ívars takes the stage. Andri is a comedian and guitarist and has been working as such for almost a decade. He is known for mixing emotional guitar playing into his stand-up routine, which gives him a rather distinct uniqueness in Iceland.

Jennie Egerdie | No One Else In The World Has This Problem  / The Peanut Butter Bucket

Next up during the break is the Canadian comedian Jennie Egerdie. A contributor to The New Yorker and McSweeney’s, she is the author of Frog and Toad are Doing Their Best and Oh, Bother, which were each selected as one of the best humor books of year by New York Magazine. She is currently writing her third humor book, which will be in stores in Fall 2026.

The winner of the City Library Poetry Slam of 2025 is announced
We finally find out the winner, who receives a prize and performs their piece again to the audience.

Panel of Judges:
Salka Valsdóttir (from Reykjavíkurdætur), Jón Magnús Arnarsson (winner of the Poetry Slam 2017) and Örvar Smárason (writer and member of the bands FM Belfast and MÚM).
