Entering the Diamond Way | A Living Approach to Buddhism

Sunday March 30th 2025

Join us for a talk about practical Tibetan Buddhism presented by Dilia Navarro (Venezuela), organized by the Diamond Way Buddhist Center of Iceland.

Dilia will talk about the book Entering the Diamond Way written by Lama Ole Nydahl. This is a genuinely compelling story, and spiritual odyssey, of Ole and Hannah Nydahl, who in 1968 became the first Western students of the great Tibetan master, His Holiness the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa. From their first contact with Tibetan Buddhism in Kathmandu in the form of a lama with extraordinary psychic powers, Ole and Hannah encountered the full spectrum of the Buddhist "view".

Dilia Navarro is a lay Diamond Way Buddhist teacher from Caracas, Venezuela, where she worked as an electronics engineer. She first came into contact with Buddhism in 1993 and met Lama Ole Nydahl, and his wife Hannah, in 1994. In 1997, along with her brother and sister-in- law, she took responsibility of the Diamond Way Center in Caracas, and since then she has organized courses and helped to form all the centers and meditation groups in Venezuela. Since the year 1998 she started translating for Lama Ole during his courses in Venezuela, and since then she also started to help with the translations of the meditation booklets.
In 2003, Lama Ole asked Navarro to travel and give teachings, and she has been travelling and teaching throughout North, Central and South America and Europe since.
At The End of 2016 she moved to Kiel, Germany where she currently resides.

Lama Ole Nydahl is a Buddhist teacher in the tradition of the Karma Kagyu lineage and he has founded more than 600 Diamond Way Buddhist centers around the world.
He is one of the best known western Buddhist teachers and through his activity this tradition is one of the most popular Buddhist traditions in the West
