Using AI to Land a Job in Iceland: CV & Cover Letter Workshop
Location: 1st floor - Torgið
Writing a CV or cover letter is already hard. Doing it in a new country, without knowing what local employers actually look for, makes it harder.
This workshop is about building that knowledge. We will look at how AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude can help you write and improve your CV and cover letter, and where each one works better than the others. More importantly, you will learn to read what they produce: which words carry weight, which ones to cut, how long things should be, and how to make your real experience visible on the page.
The goal is not to have AI write for you. It is to know how to use it well.
Daniel Alberto Lopez is a Computer Science student with a background in regulated work environments. He has gone through the job search process in Iceland himself and knows firsthand what makes it difficult for newcomers.
The workshop is Free and open to all. Bring a laptop if you can. A smartphone works too.
