Minimalistic game | Week 17
How do you get rid of 465+ items in 30 days?
Can you imagine getting rid of almost five hundred items from your home in one month? Katrín did it!
In this talk, she shares her experience on the 30-day minimalist game. The rule was simple but challenging… one item went out on the first day, two on the second, three on the third day or until 30 items went out on the last day of the month = 465 items went out of the home in 30 days.
We will go over how she got rid of the items, what she found most difficult about the process, and what surprised her the most?
Katrín Jónsdóttir is a social psychologist who enjoys delving into everyday life. She is curious about people's feelings and attitudes towards things and why some of us find it so difficult to get rid of them.
The lecture is a part of Week 17, which is a global initiative by libraries to highlight the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). During the week you can also participate in a Plokkbingo (litter-picking bingo).
