Design March - How to Future?

Saturday May 9th 2026

How do we future together? We invite you to a series of events where we experience the library as a place for meaningful encounters, a place for connecting and disconnecting intentionally. A place to embrace a more caring future with technology, nature, and future generations.

We will imagine with our minds and hands, plant for the spring using the sowing calendar designed by Kakkalakki studio, interact with an installation about the data self by the Icelandic association for humane technology and Alexander Jean Fontenay, take part in exciting textile experiments using faraday fabric with Endurtakk studio and Emma Shannon, and tickle our taste buds with artist and cook Pola Sutryk and her speculative lunch inviting more reciprocal ways of consuming.

This event is free, open to all and will take place in the building in construction, between Grófin (Tryggvagata 15) and Biang (Tryggvagata 13).

PROGRAM – 11:00-18:00
11:00 – Hopeful seedlings singalong - planting seeds and singing together
13:00 – Speculative lunch for more reciprocal ways of consuming
15:00 – Intentional disconnection- phone sleeping bags and other faraday experiments
