POSTPONED Winter Break | Video Workshop 10-16 years old

Please note that this workshop has been postponed until the 12th and 26th of March.

Do you want to make a trailer based on your favorite book? We offer a workshop for small groups in accosiation with Siljan, an annual video competition for 5th - 10th grade. Participants create a short video about a children's or teenager's book that has been published in the last two years.

The Siljan video competition is collaboration project beteen Barnabókasetur and Reykjavik City Library. The competition is in two categories, for kids in 5.-7. grade and 8.-10. grade and there are great prizes available for the winning video in each age group.

Anna Sæunn Ólafsdóttir, the instructor of the course is a trained actress and filmmaker. She has produced and directed a number of short and documentary films and today runs her own production company.

Thursday 17th of February,  13-15  - scriptwriting

Between coursers the groups film material for their trailer. 

Sunday 20th of February, 13-15 -  Video editing. The kids learn how to use a simple video editing program and work on their trailer.
