Singalong
Anna Sigríður Helgadóttir, singer, leads sing-along accompanied by pianist Aðalheiður Þorsteinsdóttir.
The songs being sung should be familiar to most, and this time they are all related to the Christmas season. The lyrics will be projected on a screen so nothing should stop the museum’s music-loving guests from joining in.
Everyone is welcome, and no singing experience is required, just sing along in your own way and let’s have fun together!
Anna Sigríður studied singing at the Sigursveinn D. Kristinsson Music School and the Singing School in Reykjavík and also took private lessons with Professor Rina Malatrasi in Italy. She has participated in various musical performances, including solo concerts, opera and operetta productions, jazz concerts, and gospel concerts. From 2001 to 2012, she worked as music director at Fríkirkjan, where she conducted the choir and sang at ceremonies. She also led children and youth activities at Árbæjarkirkja for several years. Anna Sigríður has sung with vocal groups such as Hljómeyki, Emil, and the Bjargræðiskvartettinn.
Aðalheiður Þorsteinsdóttir has worked as a pianist and organist with numerous soloists and choirs. She has also taught music, arranged compositions, typeset sheet music, and worked at the Icelandic Music Information Centre.
