Banner-making from old books | Week 17
Every book has a story – and some get a new life through creative projects!
Libraries regularly need to withdraw books, but instead of sending them straight to recycling, we’re giving them a new purpose.
Join us for a fun crafting session! We’ll transform book pages into beautiful, summery banners to hang up and enjoy. There will also be space for creativity, where you can let your imagination run wild and create something unique from this eco-friendly material.
Reuse – Create – Enjoy!
What is Week 17?
Week 17 is a global initiative by libraries to highlight the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Launched in Denmark in 2024, the project is a collaboration between libraries, individuals, and grassroots organizations, focusing on sustainability and social responsibility.
At the library, we offer a diverse program with creative activities that promote equality and a sustainable lifestyle.
Join us – together, we create a better future!
How does crafting with old books connect to the UN Sustainable Development Goals?
