Welcome to the book launch of Creative Reading! Creative Writing! 

The book is the creative outcome of the Creative Reading course organized by The Tin Can Factory and was designed for young people who wish to strengthen their reading skills, reading comprehension, and self-expression in Icelandic. The voices of the participants come together in an honest and engaging book that offers insight into the lived experiences of young people.
All of the young authors live in Iceland and are learning Icelandic, in part so that their dreams may come true. They come from Vietnam, Kurdistan, Somalia, and Venezuela.

In the book, they pause to reflect and write about their surroundings, life, interests, and dreams.

The project received funding from Þróunarsjóði innflytjendamála and is a collaboration between the by The Tin Can Factory og Reykjavik City Library in Gerðuberg
