Lecture | Buddism in the Modern World
Join us for a public lecture series on Tibetan Buddhism, marking the 15th anniversary of Diamond Way Buddhism in Iceland. Organized by the Diamond Way Buddhist Center in Reykjavík, the series will focus on women in Buddhism in honor of Women’s Year.

Daria Aichinger (Russia/Canada) will give two talks highlighting women’s perspectives within Buddhism and introduce the book View, Meditation and Action by Hannah Nydahl.
Daria met her teacher Ole Nydahl, taking formal Buddhist refuge in 1999 in Russia. In 2001 she moved to Canada to help establish the Toronto Diamond Way Buddhist Center. Since 2006, she has traveled as a teacher under his guidance, helping build Buddhist centers in throughout Russia, Canada, Australia and the United States. Daria currently resides in Immenstadt, Germany, near the International Diamond Way Buddhist Center.
