Lunchtime Melodies I The Trio Strengir

Strengir (Strings) is an Icelandic folk trio celebrated for their versatile repertoire, featuring both Icelandic and international songs from a variety of decades. They have earned praise for their captivating performances and beautiful harmonies.
This time, their program highlights Icelandic songs from the years 1964 to 1998, featuring compositions by renowned artists such as Gunnar Þórðarson, Magnús Kjartansson, KK, Villi Vill and others.
The trio consists of Bragi Árnason, Páll Sólmundur Eydal and Leifur Gunnarsson, who skillfully combine intricate polyphonic vocal arrangements with guitar and double bass.

Lunchtime Melodies is a series of concerts at the library, where Leifur Gunnarsson, together with selected well-known musicians from the scene, will perform each time.
