Board Game & Puzzle Swap Market | Week 17
There’s nothing better than playing games with family and friends – or getting lost in a puzzle in peaceful surroundings.
As part of Week 17, we invite you to a Board Game & Puzzle Swap at the Úlfarsárdalur Library on Friday, April 25, from 3–6 PM.
Bring board games and puzzles you no longer use and swap them for something new and exciting! Note that bringing a game is not required to take one. This is a great way to give old games a new life.
Everyone is welcome, and no registration is needed!
What is Week 17?
Week 17 is a global initiative by libraries to highlight the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Launched in Denmark in 2024, the project is a collaboration between libraries, individuals, and grassroots organizations, focusing on sustainability and social responsibility.
At the library, we offer a diverse program with creative activities that promote equality and a sustainable lifestyle.
Join us – together, we create a better future!
How does a Board Game & Puzzle Swap Market connect to the the UN Sustainable Development Goals?
Pre-loved games and puzzles find new owners and a longer lifespan.
Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production – Reuse instead of buying new.
Goal 13: Climate Action – Less consumption reduces environmental impact.
Goal 11: Sustainable Communities – Swap markets promote sustainability.
Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals – Bringing the community together to share and reuse.
