Summer Workshop | Stop-Motion Animation
In this workshop, children will learn the basics of stop-motion animation, design their own characters and sets, and bring their ideas to life through storytelling. Stop-motion techniques bring everyday objects to life, offering endless possibilities for creativity and expression.
The workshop is led by Rakel Andrésdóttir an artist and animator with a background in fine arts from the Iceland University of the Arts and animation studies from FAMU in the Czech Republic. Her animated films have been showcased at film festivals worldwide, and she has received the Edda Award for Best Short Documentary of the Year for Kirsuberjatómatar. Rakel works as an animator for Icelandic children's television and teaches at the Reykjavík School of Visual Arts.
Age: For children born in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016.
Time: The workshop runs for three days, Wednesday 18th of August – Friday 20th of August 2025 at 11:00-13:00.
