CANCELLED Electronic music – workshop with Auður Viðarsdóttir

Do you dream of making music? Do you want to learn how to do it on iPad?

The artist and producent Auður Viðarsdóttir (under the stage name rauður) introduces basics of electronic music on example of Soundtrap, a very popular and easy to navigate software. Soundtrap has everything you need to make good songs! In her workshops, Auður puts emphasis on activating creativity, encouraging trials and errors, finding own ways in music making and improving knowledge of technology that is used in the process.

Auður Viðarsdóttir was a singer and keyboardist of a band Nóra and emerged as a solo artist, rauður, in October 2019 with the critically acclaimed album Semilunar. rauður has performed a lot in Europe with regular gigs as well as festivals.
Besides, Auður has years of experience of creative work with children and young adults. She is one of the co-founders of the organization Stelpur rokka! (Girls Rock! Iceland). She has been teaching there amongst others singing, songwriting, playing piano and making electronic music.     

 

Workshops suits 10-13 years olds.
No prior experience is necessary.  

IPads and headphones are provided.
