Biking Adventure

Thursday June 19th 2025

The City Library and the Outdoor Education and Activity Center (MÚÚ) bring together their reading and biking enthusiasts, offering a taste of the best from both worlds: outdoor activities, movement, culture, adventure, community, storytelling, and biking.
The staff of the City Library will present the Summer Reading program, which is an exciting reading initiative for children, before the MÚÚ members lead the biking group from the library to the Recreation Garden in Gufunesbær. The group will be warmly welcomed in the outdoor classroom, Lundurinn, with a campfire and a natural, cozy atmosphere. Participants will enjoy a delightful reading session in a magical setting, get a refreshment and a cinnamon roll, and have free play in the Rrecreation garden.

Please Note:

All cyclists must make their own way home after the event concludes and get themselves back from the Recreation Garden.

The event is intended for those aged 8 and older, and parents are encouraged to join their children in this exciting cultural and outdoor adventure.

It is necessary to register for this event at the bottom of the page
