Alphabets around the world and Origami with Momo Hayashi

Saturday July 24th 2021

Let's learn and play with languages! This event is for children of all ages who want to have fun learning new words: we'll teach each other new words and sentences in different languages in a friendly inspiring environment. Fun activities for children are also always on the menu!

Momo Hayashi, a Reykjavik based illustrator and teacher originally from Kobe, Japan will host this Kakó Lingua gathering where children will be invited to make origami animals, learn words in Japanese and how to write them! We will introduce children to different alphabets and letters and have activities for all ages so parents can have some fun too! Momo has degrees in education and Icelandic and is also the co-owner of the design shop svartbysvart.

Momo speaks Japanese, English and Icelandic but we welcome families from all language backgrounds and will find a way to communicate and have fun with languages together!
