BORGARBÓKASAFNIÐ

The Summer Reading Challenge organised by Reykjavík City Library, The Directorate of Education and School Services and public libraries across Iceland – Gúndi the Goat and the Great Grass Quest – is now in full swing, with children all over the country taking part.
The first prize winner of this year's Summer Reading Challenge has been drawn at Reykjavík City Library. The lucky winner is Júlía Rós, aged seven, who received a prize from the library: the fun activity and sticker book My Dog (Voffinn minn).
Júlía Rós was, unsurprisingly, delighted with her prize.
Does she have a favourite book?
"Yes, the Your Own Story series by Ævar Þór Benediktsson."
Where does she enjoy reading the most?
"At home."
We warmly congratulate Júlía Rós on her prize and hope it encourages her to keep reading throughout the summer!
