Opið samtal | The Roma Community in Iceland
The Roma community, its culture and language, are the subject of the open conversation with Sofiya Zahova. These have been the focus of Sofiya’s unique academic research. We will discuss the Roma community in Iceland from a historical perspective and the lived experiences of Roma in Iceland today.
The conversation will be in English with translation into Icelandic if needed.
All welcome and participation is free.
What is Opið samtal?
An open conversation platform where the gap between individuals, organizations and institutions is bridged. Opið samtal aims to discuss burning issues on a peer-to-peer basis, with the aim of finding the solutions collectively, figure out who to approach an issue with and for different views to be heard.
