The Library Pops-Up | Event on Lækjartorg

From 12 – 6 pm every day except Ascencion day

The Reykjavik City Library is hosting a pop-up library event at the Greenhouse on Lækjartorg. For the duration of the event we welcome everyone to stop by and learn about the variety of services that the city‘s six library branches offer every day. Join us in a celebretion of summer for at the library we share more than just books.

Events and cozy environment

Circus artists and soap bubbles will enrich Lækjartorg for the weekend of 8-9 of May. Clowns will show us their skills and ways to grow our friendships even when we do not speak the same language. Together we will send soap bubbles of all sizes up into the cosmos (or at least as far as we can) and, like at all of the libraries branches there will be events and workshops happening every day – not only at the weekend.

On weekdays we will host story times for children and our badge maker and 3D printer will be onsite.

The library is a place where we share stories, culture and experience.

We welcome everyone who is curious to know more about the variety of services that the library offers to drop by for a chat. Or you could just come in and relax in a cozy environment and browse through a book. Because the library is an open space for all, where everyone is welcome and the entrance is free.
