Strange Birds in Flight of Imagination

Listvinnzlan - Group Exhibition
Gerðuberg City Library
10 October - 6 November 2026
Everyone is warmly welcome to the exhibition opening on Saturday 10 October, at 1 PM - 3 PM.
The spark behind the exhibition is the question: What is Iceland, and who are we?
Where do the adventures of Iceland hide?
"We have elves and birds in breathtaking landscapes, lava fields, dried fish, wool and dark winter days. But we also have pop Vikings and party-loving puffins beneath a blazing sun. And Dimmalimm. There are aliens behind curtains, cheerful workhorses, fools in shorts and all kinds of people. Iceland is all kinds of things. There is always hot coffee in the pot and plenty to go around."
What do you see? Do you see strange birds in flight of imagination?
The exhibition is curated by Elín Sigríður María Ólafsdóttir and Kolbeinn Jón Magnússon from Listvinnzlan, the art group of the List án landamæra festival in 2026. They have carefully selected works by a diverse group of artists from Listvinnzlan and beyond. This is the first time that an exhibition for Art Without Borders has been curated entirely by disabled artists.
Listvinnzlan is the artgroup of Art Without Borders 2026
