Solar Eclipse Glasses for Children provides by the city of Reykjavik

On 12 August 2026, a total solar eclipse will be visible from Iceland for the first time since 1954.

Primary school children in Reykjavík can now collect free solar eclipse glasses at Reykjavík City Library to safely observe this extraordinary event. Be sure to stop by and pick up a pair of eclipse glasses, along with informative materials for children and adults about this unique natural phenomenon.

 The glasses are provided by the City of Reykjavík.
