Stories in a Cup
How do myths, legends, and rituals change as they move between ecosystems? What will happen to our stories in a globalized world with rapid ecological changes?
Participants are invited to taste Mongolian tea and learn its significance as it transcends the dinner table. This will be followed by an Icelandic herbal tea tasting, with foraging instructions and plant knowledge, connecting the brew to the land. You are invited to listen to stories that forge a deep connection between ecology, food culture, and ritual practices. Preserving these simple acts and ritualistic practices can perform as resistance and ecological activism during the overwhelming impact of climate change.
No participation fee, all welcome.
This event is a part of the Future Festival of Reykjavík City Library. See the full program of the Future Festival HERE.
