A New Website and Changes to User Service Online

Welcome to the new website of the Reykjavik City Library!

There are some changes to appearance and presentation, but our purpose is the same: to provide an accurate and clear overview of everything that can be found at our libraries, and to make it as easy as possible for users to utilize the library's services.

The scope of the website is somewhat reduced.

“My Pages” are not a part of the new website. Part of this user service remains accessible on the library's specific leitir.is site borgarbokasafn.leitir.is. There, you can:

• log in with an ID number and password or electronic ID
• place holds
• renew loans
• view loan history
• and so on.
   

Searching the catalog is also gone from this new website, but continues at borgarbokasafn.leitir.is.

The services removed, that will not be transferred to borgarbokasafn.leitir.is are:

• registration and renewal of library cards
• and payment of fines

These services are no longer available online from the Reykjavík City Library for the time being.

All of these services are of course handled quickly and efficiently as ever by staff when you visit the City Library.
