At the City Library in Kringlan and Sólheimar we offer service outside of the usual opening hours. We call this Open+ where our users can access the library without members of staff on site.

When is Open+ Accesable?

How do I cet access?

Here you can get access to Open+

Users over the age of 18 with a valid library card and a PIN number can apply for access on our website or have a member of staff to help at the library.
 

How do I get in?

Users sign in with their  kennitala (ID number) and PIN number. Children are welcome under the supervision of adults. Please make sure no other people enter the library with you when you arrive or leave the location.
 

During Open+ you can

• Borrow and return material ・ Pick up reserved material ・ Read the papers or magazines ・ Study ・ Play boardgames ・ Use a computer ・ Use the wireless Internet ・ Print ・ Photocopy ・ Scan ・ Have meetings with people who also have access ・ Relax
