Welcome to Gerðuberg
The library in Gerðuberg has many things to offer. People of all ages use the space to work, study, relax, look through books and magazines, take part in an event or a workshop and many other things.
Gerðuberg is a great place for groups to meet up, both inside the library or in the café. The space is bright and spacious and we offer a wide selection of books, board games, magazines and DVDs, in Icelandic and many other languages.
Location
We are located in Gerðuberg 3-5. There are three parking areas, below the building, (drive in Austurberg) and by the Healthcare Centre at Hraunberg. Good access for people with reduced mobility in the parking area below the building. There is a lift in the building. Bicycle parking is available by both entrances, at the front and at the back. We encourage our users to use environmentally friendly transportation when possible.

The Children's Area
The children's area in Gerðuberg is spacious and fun. It offers a great selection of children's books in many different languages. The children's area is an ideal place where you can spend time with your children, playing and reading.
Computers, scanners and printers
Free access to computers. Printing and scanning and photocopying for a small fee.

Hringrásarsafnið
Hringrásarsafnið is a collaboration project between the City Library and Munasafn RVK Tool Library. We have self-checkout systems in Reykjavik City Library Grófin, Reykjavik City Library Gerðuberg, Reykjavík City Library Kringlan and Reykjavik City Library Úlfarsárdalur. You can borrow all sorts of useful tools and items - the variety in the cupboards changes regularly.

Café Cocina Rodríquez
At Cocina Rodriques, you are welcome to sit down with a book, magazine or your computer. The café serves coffee, cakes, small dishes, and other light refreshments in a nice atmosphere. A hearty lunch is served Monday to Saturday.
Events and Exhibitions
Everyone is welcome to send in an application with a proposal for any kind of collaboration, event, exhibition or other projects. Contact us and we will do our best to respond to applications as quickly as possible!
In Gerðuberg, the exhibition space is on the ground floor. Events take place inside the library or in the café.
Library Tours
School groups and other groups who want to get to know what the library has to offer can book library tours all year round.
