BORGARBÓKASAFNIÐ

Have you ever wanted to strike up a conversation with a stranger but weren't quite sure how to start?
Conversation Tables are an innovative initiative designed to encourage social connection and help reduce loneliness in our communities.
The Conversation Tables are open and accessible to everyone, regardless of age or circumstances, offering a low-threshold opportunity for meaningful interaction. They create a welcoming and inclusive space where people can easily connect and enjoy friendly conversations.
Conversation Tables will be available at all eight branches of Reykjavík City Library during Loneliness Awareness Week, from 2 to 9 October.
Everyone is warmly welcome!

Conversation Tables offer many benefits for both individuals and the community:
Conversation Tables are not intended to solve every aspect of loneliness, but they are a meaningful step in the right direction. They remind us of the importance of human connection and show that sometimes a small invitation is all it takes to start a conversation.
